Rahul Rai is a playwright and poet. He has done an M.A. in Hindi literature and philosophy from Purvanchal University. His works for the stage include Kaali Ghadi, Shoonya Batta Sannata, Daalmoth, Virah (in verse), Jeean de Hamann la (dot dot dot), Outer Dilli (developed for Writers Bloc 4), #Supernova (commissioned by Human Trade Network, Germany), and Kebab (winner, Sanhita Manch 2019). His translation credits include ‘The Avalanche’ by Tuncer Cucenoglu for the NSD (2022), ‘I Want A Country’ (Rihla) by Andreas Flourakis for the Aagaaz Theatre (2019-), and ‘Harvest’ by Manjula Padmanabhan (2024), among others.
