25-26 Zero Year

Over the past 13 years, DSM has trained over 250 students—many of whom now work across theatre, film, television, OTT, education, and the social sector. Our courses have grown and evolved, from a one-year certificate to a full-time residential diploma. Through all these changes, our focus has stayed the same: to offer serious, hands-on training in acting and theatre-making, led by some of the best teachers and professionals in the country.

This year, we’re turning our attention to building the DSM of the future.|

We’re taking time to redesign our courses, deepen our engagement with theatre-makers around the country, and create new work with our alumni and faculty. We’re aiming to become a school that’s more accessible, more far-reaching, and better equipped to meet the needs of tomorrow’s performers, makers, and citizens.

Our goals are big—because if India is to have a rich and vibrant theatre ecosystem, one that contributes to shaping a kinder, more compassionate society, then we must keep growing and improving the way we train and support artists.

Our next course will launch in July of 2026, while from July 2025 you will be able to engage with us in workshops and shorter engagements.
