The Niloufer Sagar Alumni Production Grant (NSAPG) supports DSM alumni in developing and presenting new theatre work. Instituted to strengthen independent theatre practice and nurture emerging artists beyond training, the grant continues in memory of Niloufer Sagar, whose contribution to Drama School Mumbai and the wider theatre ecosystem remains deeply significant.
The NSAPG Showcase 2026 brings together all supported works for the first time across one week of performances at Rangshila Theatre.
These plays emerge from different regions, languages, forms, and concerns — ranging from musical storytelling and satire to memory, rebellion, ritual, and war.

Inqilaab Ki Aakhari Kisht
Wednesday | 10 June 2026
Grantee: Sikandar Khan
Born as the youngest in a loud middle-class family, he always felt like the “extra cushion” on the sofa unseen, and unheard. What begins with innocent mischief, broken elbows, sweet revenge, and village struggles slowly turns into a deeply personal journey of insecurity, silence, rebellion, and inner revolution.
Blending sharp Rajasthani humour, traditional Dastaangoi style, poetry, and hard-hitting truth, this solo performance traces one boy’s transformation from being ignored at the family parliament to finally finding his voice on stage.
