Manish Ruparel is a multidisciplinary artist and performer. His work often begins with what’s happening around him and how it resonates in his body. Through somatic movement, embodied dramaturgy, and clowning practices, he transposes the various movements into performative poetry. His interest lies in themes that strive to explore the human condition in a deeper and transpersonal manner and he believes in constantly pushing the form in order for newer experiences to emerge. In 2023, he completed his MFA in Advanced Devising Practice from arthaus.berlin and has been actively performing and facilitating contemporary theatre spaces since. He has trained extensively in physical theatre, clowning, masks, and contemporary movement practices, and through these learnings in India and abroad, he aims to be a bridge for these practices to dialogue and evolve with each other.
