Chaitra is passionate about equity, the arts, culture, and collective action. She strives to bring meaningful causes and impactful work into the public spotlight, believing that a small group of thoughtful people can create lasting change and nurture empathy and humanity. With a background in documentary filmmaking, she channels her creativity and storytelling skills into fundraising and communications, where she can make a tangible difference. An alumnus of the Xavier Institute of Communication (XIC), Chaitra has helped several NGOs highlight the impact they create through her films. Her films have won awards and are featured on Newslaundry. She has also participated in workshops like Kino Moscow for cultural exchange with filmmakers from other countries. Her and her group’s work in the social sector and during the Covid-19 pandemic has been recognised with the Sakaal Sanmaan Puraskar by the Sakaal Media Group, the Women of Note award, and the Humanity in Action award. In her leisure time, she enjoys attending art events, reading, and travelling, always seeking new perspectives and inspiration.
